Podiatrists is negligent in treating a diabetic ulcer

The plaintiff was a diabetic who developed an ulcer on his foot. He was treated a podiatrist who failed to culture the wound and as a result prescribed the wrong antibiotic. His wound became more and more infected until he had to have his leg amputated at the knee. He died of unrelated causes before the case could be brought to trial. His death reduce the value of the case.
